LET: 2 Negrenses in Top 10
The results of the 2015 Licensure Exam for Teachers or LET were released last Friday, May 22. Of the top 10, 2 Negrenses were in the roster. The PRC or Professional Regulations Commission and the BPT or Board of Professional Teachers conducts the LET. The results released were for the exam held last March 29, 2015.
LET – 2 Negrenses
The 2 Negrense women landed in 9th and 10th place in the LET for Elementary Education. Rowena Porceso Guardiano from UNO-R (University of Negros Occidental Recoletos) garnered 86.6% landing her in 9th place along with 3 other takers. At 10th place is Ann Stefhany Villaluz de Alvan from Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College(CHMSC-Talisay) who got 86.4% along with 4 other takers.
Overall
For the elementary exam, 27.42% of takers were able to pass. That’s 12,103 passers out of 44,144 takers. The secondary exam had a slightly more successful pass rate of 31.63%. There were 56,596 takers with 17,904 passing it. The test last March 29 was administered in 17 test centers all over the country and also in Singapore.

There is no tentative date and venue yet for the oathtaking ceremeny. The PRC says it will be announced at a later time. In the meantime, passers can now start processing their requirements as registration for the Certificate of Registration and Professional ID will begin on June 1. The things needed are:
- duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- latest Cedula or Community Tax Certificate (CTC)
- 1 pc passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
- metered documentary stamp (for the Oath Form)
- P1,050 broken down into the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2015-2018
There is also a requirement that passers should personally appear so they can register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
